@vetteguy53081 So, may be a dumb question, but I did a test on my Magnesium last night and it was 1350, which is okay but I wanted to get it up to 1400. Now I did a water change of 4 gallons after I tested and put in just heated RODI water to replace to lower salinity to where I want to put on the ATO. The problem is my magnesium fell to 1280 and my torch that has been doing good as well as my frammer shrunk up quite a bit. Is this due to the magnesium fall or the salinity? The salinity dropped to a little over 1.026 from 1.028. Now, if I have another 4 gallons of Rodi water to do a water change to get it to just above 1.025 should I pre-mix the magnesium liquid I have into it to not cause the levels to fall? (have Fluval Sea Magnesium, but ordered Red Sea Magnesium)

you tested shortly after water change- test after 8-12 hours and see if your readings increase

I did the water change at like 10 pm then tested the next day at 10am so 12 hours and then I dosed some of my magnesium to get it to raise. But what should I do for the other 4 gallons I have should I just do it like I did the last one, or dose the water prior to adding it, or what would you do?
