I have limited space in my sump and would like to make the switch from eheim to a titanium option. The reviews and all of the stay away threads for the rebranded BRS ones have removed them from the list. What is everyone using and would you buy them again?
What's wrong with the BRS heaters? I bought one, haven't used it yet but...

OK so they didn't have a heater controller? I mean mine sends an alert if there is an issue?
Between stray voltage and completly failing, does it matter?
If I'm at work and get an alert, I won't get home fast enough with stray voltage.

I posted 3 different threads. Plenty more if you want to search.

If you want features the IM Helios. But it can be finnicky. Not enough flow it turns off. Too quick a temperature change such as a water change with different temps and it will turn off.

Want one with no features and then use a controller of some sort? The BRS ones are great.

BRS heaters work fantastic and have 3 yr warranty's. There was some bad batches a while back but replaced under warranty.

I don’t want a heater that needs to be replaced under warranty. If it fails and gets replaced, I’m using another brand.

That said, over the course of 23 years of reefing, I now only use finnex titanium heaters, with external controllers

Saltwateraquarium.com has excellent selection and prices
