A janky temporary fix may be to get a monkey fan or a grow fan and clip it on the light rack or somthing to blow hot air and stuff from canopy into fish room towards dehumidifier and to leave the door cracked for now. To help keep mold from growing under canopy and tank getting over desired temps

I didn't look back in the thread, but what are you running the output from the ozone generator through? If you smell ozone in the room then that is too much. Not necessarily from a health perspective but from a corrosion perspective. It will cause any rubber or plastic that is not ozone safe to become brittle and eventually crack which could lead to the failure of some equipment. I run ozone 24/7 on my 460 and I run the output through an ozone reactor similar to this one (mine is custom built by @Sisterlimonpot who owns and operates 4th Dimension Aquatics www.4daquatics.com) https://www.avastmarine.com/products/mutiny-ozone It works flawlessly to remove the ozone before it gets into the room and I only change the carbon out about twice a year.

Thanks for the info I will have to talk with 4th dimension aquatics about my ozone.

It is hooked up directly to a Venturi manifold it’s sucks up the ozone/ mixes and then comes out directly to return.

I’m sure 240 watts of uv/ozone is generating a ton of ozone. I need to talk to 4th dimension and see how I can run my ozone and be able to plug a reactor to it.

Updates…..

I tried a black 45 for return and it looks decent, you really cant see it at times. I ordered black 90’s too, should clean it up nicely. Still on fence about it all. If the black 90&45 look good might keep it and do the same for other side, thoughts? I don't like it that much and its not much flow by the time it travels all the way to the end (I could always crank up eflow return) Kinda cool looking? (reminds me of an old 911 muffler) :) I don’t know, I need to get used to it or scrap it.

I hooked up the deltec return eflow 16 wow!!!!!!!! I love it…..silent and extremely powerful. Loudest thing is fans and the dehumidifier other than those two the tank is silent.

I’m in love with the deltec skimmer its silent and it produces tons of skimmate and the anti overflow option….truly is an amazing piece of equipment.

UV awesome! Ozone? Im still working on a solution to my ozone running safely and smell free.

Everything is running perfectly its almost all dialed in.

Have you given thought to ending the PVC pipe above the tank and using LocLine to enter the tank with a LocLine fan nozzle? I realize this will cut flow a bit but you can also turn up the pump. Might be less intrusive and give you more directional flow options.

I have the pipes ready for the return line I was gonna run on each side to the other side of tank but. I just dry fitted it and it doesn’t look pleasing at all, actually kinda takes away the ocean reef feel.

Now I’m ready to scrap that idea.
Have you looked into Seaswirls? I'll be adding this next.

Im using 1.5 inch pipe, couldn’t find loc line big enough, I'm considering 1.5“ vca rfg?
I didn’t know what size pipe you were using. In theory, you could run 3 - 3/4 LocLine fittings evenly spaced out to match the flow of 1.5 inch pipe (depending on pump flow and pressure).

I had also thought of the SeaSwirl idea but they are costly and bulky.

Yes, I didn‘t want any moving parts to mess with down the end Just flow. The jeabos wavemakers give plenty of random flow. This is more for future when it is filled out and flow becomes issue I want to have something solid on that end to move water.

Looking good placed a order with Derek today still nailing down dimensions either 46x84x26 or 96x42x26

im gonna check out the deltec stuff :) I also like the idea of doing 3-.75” loc lines at that end making its look cleaner and more flow direction adjustability. Also there is a 1” loc line and flow generator from vca

Amazing, congratulations you will love it. I would recommend go as big as possible, every big tank i’ve had gets small quickly. I look at my tank now and its not as big anymore lol.

Deltec is great, no complaints. I hated cleaning my loc line arms and after everything was completed covered in coraline flow was reduced too. I will have two sets of pvc fittings, once the first set gets funky and covered I’ll swap them out for fresh set and throw old ones vinegar bath for later use.

Man I’m getting anxiety over my tiny tank and yours is double the size lol i just don’t wanna bite off more than I can chew lol 400 seems reasonable I’d prefer like 350… but that’s small to me what size tanks have you had in the past

Ive had a bunch of different tanks, largest before this one was my 400, then before that a 300.

350&400 is very close get 500 96x48x26.
Can you do price breakdown on everything please? Settin up a 96x30x18 at the moment & that 500g is exact dimensions I want for my next build in probably about 5 years, in my head it was 8 ft x 4 ft x 2ft but I don’t mind extra 2 in

Unfortunately the prices I paid for everything is useless now because of cost of everything has trippled or even quadrupled.

5 years ago 2018 I sold my Miracles tank for less than 600 bucks lol

I paid 7 dollars or so for a tube of liquid nails at homedepot 6 mons ago, its at 12 now smh!

My advice would be to start buying everything now for your build, its only getting more expensive.
