Vinegar is acetic acid, so basically it is a weaker acid but gets the job done of loosing and removing labels.

He's using a rubber wheel. Like the ones you use to remove decals from a vehicle.

Question, My New York nicks torch from SBB has always looked ragged from day one, even from the first days on the sand until placement. I think the flow is ok, lighting is within recommended range, it appears to be happy. video is not that great and under blue light. My first go around with a torch. Heard they tend to fade away if things are not pristine.

edit: about 3 months in my tank

What would you describe as ragged?
