Looking great Walker
Walker, I know that being close to the window can help you with the pH, but have you thought about all the problems that being so close to the window and getting a lot of sunlight can cause you? I haven't had the experience but I've read it in many threads here and I don't know if it's really true but I'm writing it to you here since there's still time.
Yeah I've thought about it. I know for sure that the tank won't get any direct sunlight and the tank itself is pretty shaded so it won't get much outside light at all.

that looks like sponge. Tunicates tend to have more tube like structures.

when I eventually transfer the kids to the bigger pool, how do I get the little brittle stars out of the rock? are they just a write off? not sure when I will do this because once I start, I need to break the whole tank down before it starts to smell and I think I have 30 lbs of sand in there and tank weighs probably 40-50lbs. obviously sand gets scooped. but I would need this at least in the garage asap. so planning to wait till i'mable to. so it would not be wise to transfer fish yet right? need to keep the cycle going?

Your transfering the rock right? The micro brittle starfish should be fine in the moist rock for a period of time.

Bottle trap with fish food will catch some.

They are in kind of shaded areas except for the one I took the picture of but i recently moved the rock its on to be able to reach some gha that needed to be pulled off.
haven't looked at post further on yet if someone said this but they may turn brown now if they are not in the happy spot they were. I had some nice yellow ball sponges that eventually browned and fell off the rock when I moved it.

I can move it back to where it was the others are on different rocks that haven't been moved.

no. this was carribb sea rock. I don't want any water or rock going in. just fish and the "clean" looking inverts.

ODG, ( that’s oh dear god for you older reefers) here we go again. Don’t fall for it JoJo, I ended up spending the day fragging my birdsnest for my self.

Posted some pics and a video of my tank in my build thread for those that are interested.
I’m sure no one will be as interested in it as Amanda’s but I have a My Tank Thead!
