I took small bits of what you both recommended, wanted to thank you both.

Your recommendations aligned with a lot of what I read.

Dinoflagellates defeated & Phosphates have been checked with Phosphate-RX and maintained now with my mini BRS reactor using Nyos phos remover.

I will be plumbing in a flow meter on the return pump to get that solid 5x turn over, roughly 200GPH.
I need to do this since I need the UV flowing at roughly 180GPH.

Hiya everyone, it's been a bit since I've posted any good updates. So here are a few changes I've done:

1. Swapped out the protein skimmer, couldn't handle the AC and went with the Ultra Reef Borie UKB-120 Protein Skimmer and wow, this thing is built like a tank, quiet, almost no break in period.

2. Working with limited space I went with using unions on everything, I can take everything apart to get to certain pieces of equipment.

3. I purchased an additional BRS media reactor and linked them, I felt having 2 options as far as carbon and gfo is super beneficial.

4. Installing the UV was a big hurdle with the space give, I had to custom print something to hold it.

Dinos..... for me the worse that could happen to an aquarium, but i think you did a good job with them and it was on a very good stage of your aquarium process.

Back with a small update!

I swapped out the ReefBrites for the AI Glows for ease of use and keeping it all within the same ecosystem.
I went with the glows just because Im not big on blue tanks, and I added a spectrum that the XR30 is a bit short on.
I custom designed and printed some mounts to hold the glows in place.
