Hello,

This is my 45 Gal Red Sea Max E-170 that has been running for about 14 months. Currently SPS dominant with some Euphyllia towards the bottom. Recently added 20lbs of additional rock for more surface area (for corals!). Also currently battling some bubble algae currently - I do weekly 4-5 gal water changes with Red Sea blue bucket, and lightly (2ml/day ATM) dose Tropic Marin All-For-Reef because its easy. Feed Rod's once per day + BRS Reef Chili.

Gear:

AI Hydra 26 HD
2x Vortech MP-10
Stock Red Sea Skimmer
Stock Return Pump
Random Flow Generator on return
Tunze 3155 ATO
40lb Carrib Sea Life Rock

Fish:

Black Ice Clown pair
Yellow Coris Wrasse
Spotted Kole Tang

Coral:

Walt Disney Acro
RR Pink Cadillac
RR Frutopia
TSA Mile High Latistella
ORA Borealis
WWC Aqua Delight
Orange Digi
Golden Hammer
Frogspawn
Misc. Favia
Bam Bams
Pink Zippers
Misc. Mushroom
Misc. Torch

New additions to the tank picked up this weekend. Shortcake, PC Superman, Pepa Pig Milli & Flaming Fugazi.

Looks great! I just started an E170 myself and will be following along.

Are you doing anything for mechanical filtration? My one issue with the tank is there is not any good place to put filter floss in the rear chamber.

Good luck with your build! The tank is great, I think you'll like it alot. I only use the sponge over the return pump that it came with. Aside from that, i'm just running the stock skimmer. I try to keep it pretty simple.

Do you mind sharing your light settings? Did you set them to the stock set up recommended by Hydra?
