I still have not observed this light show except in pictures posted by others. A local station made a report of a recent solar storm but I forgot to go out and look. Some folks near by saw the lights but I was lights out.

My wife has been trying to see them for years! Every time they report one coming it's cloudy or unable to be seen without a high powered lense. This time we were able to see it perfectly from our back yard with the naked eye, it was amazing! After these pictures we took a 5 minute ride up to the top of the mountain where there were probably 100 cars parked trying to see them and it was already over by then.
