Did you try turning it front to back or inside out? When dirty, I put them in a bucket with hot water and bleach…come out like new.
I think my biggest problem is i leave my magnet in a tank when not used. But the way my tank is set up, it's my only option is to leave it atached.

Looks like I need to check out this mighty magnet with the sleeve. I’ve been looking for a solid option for my new acrylic tank that won’t risk scratching seems like everybody likes it!

Show me something that isn’t expensive in this hobby?? Lol
everything is, i know, but i was squinting paying my 500+ checkout cart for magnet, plus sending kit. btw, i can vouch for those sanding pads to clean scratches underwater. works really well.

I know this is supposedly a big no-no, but I use a Flipper with stainless steel blades. Removes the toughest coralline especially at the sand bed line and with its design doesn’t get any sand in the blade area. Been using it for years with 0 scratches. I’ve scratched my tank more with the acrylic/credit card blades esp down towards the sand line.

Yeah I'm definitely happy with results, but like some one said earlier, if we clean glass often/daily, then you don't need a good strong magnet or any special pads.
