I've got a Reef Octo 30" sump with a very large central skimmer area. I want to make part of it a refugium, but without removing it for a day or so to silicone new baffles in. I don't need a perfect seal between the compartments really.

I was thinking of getting a large polycarbonate Tupperware (I see some that are about 10" cubes) and drilling holes in the side. Or if there's some kind of drop-in baffle that just compresses against the existing walls that would be perfect too. I'm having trouble finding just the right thing though.

Any suggestions?

What do you want in the fuge? Rock rubble? Sand? Chaeto?
You can make one depending on how much you need to screen off. If the water pressure is the same on both side then you dont need anything real solid.

A pod hotel, some chaeto, maybe rock rubble. Any ideas for just fixing something roughly in place that doesn't need to hold pressure?

Get a piece of glass cut then use aquarium putty to hold it in place.
