We used to get a lot of tiger maple in the cabinet shops- if the sets were stained we usually were told to scrap it because of the variation in the wood grain. Most customers don’t want a patch of stripes in the middle of a cabinet face when it doesn’t match the rest of the set. It’s gorgeous. We used some it to make guitar stands for friends and my dad.
