I don't know anything about that specific tank or sump, but the Reef Octopus are often regarded as one of the better skimmers that are reasonably priced.

In every purchase so far no corners cut I just want to have one or the most successful reef tanks over the next years to come

That’s what I was thinking as well but I don’t want to end up being one of those idiots who buys the best products out when there is a better cheaper route that will work just as well I mean I have a whole Neptune system setup and not one coral in my tank like seems a bit over do right now but so far everything is doing great being 2.5 months running

Biggest one u can fit.

That's often not good advice. That was the common thinking many years ago, but it won't work properly if oversized. If there is too much air for the nutrient level it won't form a stable foam it'll just pop the bubble at the top.

Yes it will take more time for a heavy foam head to build up but it will still work yes. You can not over skim a tank.
I do not believe this. This is my opinion.

It's not an issue of overskimming, it actually won't hardly skim at all if it is way oversized for the tank/bioload size.

So what’s your recommendation
I'd personally go with a Reef Octopus 150. Which exact model would depend on what will fit and how much you want to spend.
I currently use a Vertex which I like but the company went under a little over a year ago. When I get a new one I'll get a Reef Octopus.

I also have heard good thing about Tunze skimmers but I have no personal experience with them.

You can run a successful tank without a skimmer, but it's one piece of equipment that I believe you will find most people use. It does a few things other than skimming, like oxygenate the water, and can potentially help with pH if the airline is ran outside or from a CO2 scrubber (assuming your home as high CO2 levels causing lower pH)

I have the simplicity 240DC works really well. very happy with its performance, no issues what so ever. easy to assemble, has a locking cup, easy to tune and clean. they are 279.99 retail. The LFS got me a deal for 210 OTD. worth every penny!!

I have 3 of them, they are great. and you can find them for $10-15 each at the lfs. they are slow swimmers, and like to hide in the open, if that makes sense.. very peaceful toward my clown, and my chromis.
