Hi Everyone, My blue eye Kole tang has this dust like light marks on its skin. I've been following this for couple of days. He's eating and behaving well. No sign of stress. Added him in the tank 5 weeks ago. I have another purple tang, 2 clown fish and 1 diamond watchman goby. There's no aggression based on my observations for past few weeks. The Kole tang likes hang inside the rock work and close to the sand bed. The tank is 3 months old and no new fish added in past 4 weeks. Not sure if it's a disease or something else. My tank does have the common hitchhiker like bristle worms, bristle starfish. Parameter:
Ph- 8.2
Ammonia- 0
Nitrite- 0
Phosphates- 0.25
Nitrate- 5-10
Dkh - 7.5 - 8.5

Here's a video of the marks on my Kole tang.

Cant see anything in this video as:
Its too short
Too dark - Best under white light intensity
Too much reflection on glass from room windows

Please resubmit with blinds closed, brighter lighting and of at least 25 seconds

I haven't seen it do any scratching, but my purple tang scratches the sand before popping. Not sure if that's normal. Today the Kole tang freaked out and got some bruises on the side. Should I administer any medication for it?

Sorry, the pics are too blue to see much. What do you mean about “popping”? Like popping some food?

What I’m trying to determine is if this flukes or not. The scrapes on the tang’s side could be from scratching due to flukes when you weren’t around to see it happen.

I am currently feeding multiple types of frozen food with salcon and garlic guard.
Just be aware that those supplements are not medications and won’t treat any diseases.

Oh - popped=pooped, I get it.

I don’t see anything immediately treatable in this video.

If the fish start scratching, then you should consider dosing the tank with Prazipro, 2x, 8 days apart with good aeration.
