Hey guys. About 4 days ago I got a Bristletooth Tomini Tang and I cannot get him to eat anything. I have brown, red, and green nori. I have the clip. I have flake and pellet foods. Nothing is working. He goes around the tank pecking at the rocks constantly and is very skittish. Is there any recommendations? I'm at a loss! Thank you in advance!

Not all of my tangs touch the nori and it even varies by brand….
I’ve never seen anything pass on Rods whole krill: the real big pinkish red ones… They are big but soft: I know tangs are veggie eaters but mine love it

It is uncommon to have a tang which is not eating well without their being a significant issue.
This is an example of why having the fish in a holding/quarantine tank for a period of time before introducing it to your display tank is vital. You would have had an opportunity to ***** the fish up close and react accordingly. Perhaps this is something you should consider in the future.

My tomini wouldn’t touch nori for at least 2 months. Keep offering it daily and cut some up in tiny pieces and mix in with thawed mysis and pour in the tank. Eventually he will eat the tiny pieces and then the nori in a clip

Snails will eat the nori pieces that he doesn’t eat, no worries

Nope. I was in full panic mode (still kinda am) and I bought all 3 boxes separately. I'm thinking spending the money on the diff colors is cheaper than losing my Tang!
Ok here’s what I bought and what ended up workin for me

Started with this for like 20$
24 sheets each, total of 2.4 oz
My tomini would not touch any of this.

Then on the forum I was reccomended a bulk pack of nori for 15$. It comes with 100 sheets, that are much larger than these thin ones, and a total of 6.7 oz.

It’s way cheaper, larger sheets and more of them, and my Tomini eats it. Not right away. But I used the same method I explained above and he started eating this stuff from the clip. Worth a shot
