I’m currently upgrading from a 45 bow front to a 90 gallon. I have a flame angel in the 45 and a coral beauty in the 90. The tanks are about 3 inches apart. I’d like to try to put the flame angel in the 90 soon using a breeder box and the mirror method but I was curious if they could see each other already. I’m assuming not so I’ll lean on the side of caution and if all else fails I’ll just trade the coral beauty.

I should imagine that they can ... I've piloted a mini-sub inside a shark tank, and could definitely see people outside. If there was another tank - preferably well-lit - in that environment, I'm quite certain I'd have been able to see the fish inside it.

Ya here’s a view from one of the cameras I have it’s clear as day. When I was googling before posting here someone said they can’t see through glass which I don’t really believe that because they react to us and even know who feeds them. Hopefully it kinda helps them get used to each other but I’ll be careful anyway.
