Nice! Where are you staying in Barca? I lived there for 8 years (10 years ago, wow!).Madrid, Bergos, Telito, Segovia, Bilbao, San-Sebastion, and Barcelona.
Not sure where I'll be staying there yet, sorry. I'm really excited to go there!Nice! Where are you staying in Barca? I lived there for 8 years (10 years ago, wow!).
It's a great city and super easy to get around. There is a problem with pickpocketing, so keep your wits about you. A typical scheme is someone will come to you with a big map trying to get help while someone else is robbing you--no one has any business asking you (obviously not a local Catalan) for directions, so hands up to keep your space and "sorry, I can't help". Also bags/purses/murses go over the neck, not resting on shoulders--seen pickpocketers on bikes swipe bags that way. And of you're out in the Las Ramblas area at night, there are "bar promoters" passing out promos for drinks at bars. Don't let them shake your hand and give you coupons for free drinks. They will accidentally trip you while someone behind you steals your wallet whie they help you up. Basically no one should be touching youNot sure where I'll be staying there yet, sorry. Same deal in Madrid, I wore my backpack on my chest and carried my wallet and phone on my appendix. Thanks for the tipIt's a great city and super easy to get around. Right, apart from that scary paragraph, have lots of fun, eat good food and see all the sights!
