it isn’t even my fish it is my friends at the lfs but really want that fish so I am trying too look at these stuff to tell him to do so it doesn’t die
Most LFS will not properly quarantine a fish. It results in too much loss of profit or increase in price, which consumers generally won't pay. Not to mention the additional upfront costs of extra tanks and more space necessary for them.

In this case you're asking an owner to seperate a fish, treat with meds, daily maintenance, and increased risk of loss for 30 extra days. As a business owner I would treat it as 30 labor hours , price of water, salt, meds on markup. At minimum wage this would add over $300 to the cost of the fish.
