First Salt tank! How’s my scape?

Hi all, as the title said, this is my first salt tank. I’m taking the long route with dry rock. I didn’t want to just stack live rock so this was my best option. Plan to eventually have coral but as I’ve said I’m trying to be patient and take my time. Any opinions or critiques of the scape?

Are you doing sand? I like the scape. It has caves, swimming space, and shelves. Looks great! If you're going bare bottom I'd say it's perfect. If you're adding sand can I recommend putting some egg crate or tile under the structures just below the sand level to set the rockscape on?

I took a 2” coupling I had laying around and made sure that fit on all sides. Tried adding a video to show it from all angles but it won’t load.

I tried adding a video so you could get a view of all sides, wouldn’t load. I do plan on having a thin sand layer. I have some HDPE board left would that work to raise it up? Do I need to worry about detritus buildup?

Good flow will help with detritus. Does it have a sump?

I put my rocks directly on the glass and fill in around them with sand but doing that with your design, you'd likely lose the cave under the right side of the picture. HDPE board would work fine except it may have the potential to crush under the weight of the rock (I assume you're referring to corrugated plastic sheets?). The only reason I mentioned raising it off the glass but not putting it directly on the sand is that some fish and snails can dig under the scape in the sand and cause it to shift and fall.

You should be fine to just poor sand in and fit it around the rocks. Thats what I did. But I have eels so they have dug burrows under the rocks so some of the bottom shows but thats the way they like it so Im okay with it like below.

First of all, I hope it will last a long time and be the tank you want.
I personally liked the design very much. There is enough space to hide, there is enough room for corals. The middle seems empty and there is enough space for fish to swim. Just place the wave motors you will add so that the current flows everywhere.
It looks super. I'm following for more.

I think it looks great. Add sand if you are going to and see how it looks. You can always add spacers if needed to keep the look you are going for after the sand is added.
