Anyone knows if I set fluval marine 3.0 light starting to come up from 0:00 and then if there is a power cut, will it then reset its clock to 0:00 and instantly start to execute the programmed curves again? Or does it reset everything including the programmed curves and never comes on?

How hot the light is getting when on full power?

Supposedly if it loses power it doesn't automatically come back on, it needs to be reset.

I have had mine about 2 weeks on a Nuvo 14 peninsula. The tank is not stocked yet, but I am pleasantly surprised how much I like the light.

At full intensity with the Pro setting it does get hot for an hour or two.

The mounting brace is nice as well, I will probably get another Fluval Nano 3.0, just to have.

Website says upon power cut all what happens is that internal clock is reset to 0:00.

For the superficial observer it might seem that the light doesnt come on as normally you dont program your lights starting at 0:00, but if you waited enough time lets say 8 hours if you programmed your lights start at 8:00 will itt come up - this is the behaviour of my existing lights, that's why I am asking.

Makes sense.

I have only seen reviews by users that stated the lights didn't resume after an power outage, maybe those users didn't wait long enough.
I don't travel enough for it to be a concern for me, but it's good to know the official site states the reset. Thank you.

I'd be one of those users lol. It wouldn't make sense to wait since your wanting the light to come back on at the moment lol. Mine would lose power during the time the light needs to be on, so going into the app to get it back on was annoying af. For the cost of Fluval lights, this was a deal breaker for me. Hence I got rid of mine.
IMO Glowrium has way better value.

It was not a deal breaker for me. On Amazon they are 52.00 bucks, I can get 2 for the price of one, I like the look and the size. It was hard to find a Glowrium in the size I wanted. Where I live we just don't lose power enough for it to be an issue.

Yes, but if I program it to come up from 0:00 for 12hrs, then 8am in the morning I turn on and off the socket, does it reset the internal clock to 0:00 as website states and starts the lightning cycle at 8am?

And then if I am not at home and there is a midday powercut I can turn off my wifi socket remotely in the evening and turn it back on 8:00am next day and normal lighting cycle continues.

I am asking cuz I can do this with my existing non-fluval light and fluval website only says internal clock is set back to 0:00, nothing else happens, so this should work?

So it defaults to midnight. So if you lose power at say 6am. It resets it back to midnight. So if its set to turn on at 8am. It won't turn on at that time. Its 6 hours behind. Instead its now on at 2pm. Why they didn't include RTC in the light is beyond me, unless its software related.

Your wifi socket control will not fix the issue. It only forces it to reset again.

Yeah, thats what I want, but do you actually have the light and know iwhether this is what happens?

Wifi socket will sort my issue, cause I will program it up from 0:00, then make a manual "powercut" at 8:00 first day so lights will come on 8:00 every morning and then if something misbehaves I just reset wifi socket 8:00 next morning and light is back as normal.
