Hi all you knowledgeable Reefers....I brought this Christmas tree coral rock a cpl of weeks ago..I have a hitchhiker ...Friend or Foe?..I have been told it could be a mantis shrimp and pistol shrimp or a crab ...Im worried it will kill my Christmas worms if i do nothing...TIA

video worked for me, but I'm not sure.

If I were to guess base on that vid, it almost looks like a peacock mantis. It looks mantis like to me, but my mantis shrimp didn't have colors like that.

Do you hear clicking from the tank? If yes, mantis. PITA to catch, though some people love them. I still have one more to catch sadly.

I have heard no clicking so far..tried to even catch the little bugger out at night with no luck..the only way to get it out is to destroy the canal it lives in which could go all the way through...arrhhh
