Moving on from my 75 gallon reef tank (starting pic of completed tank and yes I do keep it much cleaner than this) and starting this. Pics coming with current status.

My LFS said it was a long tip nem so I went with it. As for my corals they don't get much sunlight. I have LED lights on them about 7 hours a day. I'm taking it that them being brown is not what I want. I am still new to having corals so if you have some tips on them I would be more than willing to listen.

Are your lights strictly white?
Nope. I set them up the way that was recommended by Loop. My daylight settings are: red 75%, Green 29%, Blue 100% and white 65%. The ones at the very bottom quit blooming for a while. I had them higher up and I guess they didn't like the light. I moved them down and they started popping open again. Now the one right under the overflow box in the picture is not coming out and looks like it has a solid white covering.

Insufficient lighting can cause browning in corals. Nutrient problems can do the same. Do you feed a lot and do you have a skimmer.
Here’s a recent thread asking about this

I started reading that thread a little while ago. I only feed once a day about one cube of frozen food. I do add the reef essentials once a week and phytoplankton twice a week. I have a skimmer and it has lots of bubbles but is not skimming anything. I was actually reading on that this morning and people were saying that is normal with corals being in the tank. I use to get some skim on a regular basis but none anymore. I have the air wide open too.

Finally got my stand finished and about to start the plumbing. Would it be overkill to have an algae reactor and a fuge section?

I love the fts to start.

You say this is a 75g? What are the dimentions? I'm a bit worried about the appearance of a sag in the rear cross support on the tank.

Did you calculate the sag over span? It's not too late to double them up.

That long tentacle anemone is beautiful. I think I need me one of those.

Can't speak to the algea reactor, but to the fuge, what will be your purpose? Growing macros/pods?

Thanks for taking the time to take a look! It's appreciated.

The 75g is the first pic. The empty tank is the 120. I tried to be mindful of the sag but I wanted my sump right there and didn't want to add a brace. That's a great idea about doubling up. All the corners have three 2x4's and the front has double bracing too. Pretty much everywhere I put a brace I ran two or more. I may run one more completely across.

I was thinking of growing pods in fuge. I really really want a mandarian goby and have it stay alive.

No problem. I'm also a woodworker which is probably why I went straight to the stand. 3x 2x4 corners is adequately overbuilt. If your front stretcher is doubled, I would also double up the rear. It may be the picture but it already looks to have a down bow in the center. Could easily be the natural bow of the 2x4 but that will transfer to the substrate, then the tank causing strange pressure points.

I personally like fuges and mandarins. Haven't had much success growing cheato but pods take off down there without anything grazing on them. Planning on the fuge now, gives you expansion room in the future also if you need mounting room for a reactor pump or the like.

Great little build you have going on here. I, too, am a big fan of the blue backs. I've never liked the black - that's just me.
I started out with the Current Loop lighting also. It's fine for FOWLR, not really sufficient for corals.
Keep up the good work though!

Started on the plumbing. Any recommendations would be appreciated, especially before I start gluing stuff!

So as I sit here and type this the tears of sadness and joy run down my cheeks. I was getting my tank cleaned up one last time and was going to do the upgrade over the weekend. As I was emptying the last of the water out of the tank the end glass cracked (hence the tears of sadness). I had drilled this tank and set up my entire plumbing for it.

Well now I got to order an acrylic one (hence the tears of joy) and I get to impatiently wait for it to come in. Then comes the fun part of drilling it to match the plumbing.

And other than the tinkering to get it all perfect I am done!
