My LFS said it was a long tip nem so I went with it. As for my corals they don't get much sunlight. I have LED lights on them about 7 hours a day. I'm taking it that them being brown is not what I want. I am still new to having corals so if you have some tips on them I would be more than willing to listen.what nem is that? your corals are real brown is this tank grown by sunlight?
Nope. I set them up the way that was recommended by Loop. My daylight settings are: red 75%, Green 29%, Blue 100% and white 65%. The ones at the very bottom quit blooming for a while. I had them higher up and I guess they didn't like the light. I moved them down and they started popping open again. Now the one right under the overflow box in the picture is not coming out and looks like it has a solid white covering. Are your lights strictly white?
Insufficient lighting can cause browning in corals. Nutrient problems can do the same. Do you feed a lot and do you have a skimmer.Nope. I set them up the way that was recommended by Loop. I started reading that thread a little while ago. I only feed once a day about one cube of frozen food. I do add the reef essentials once a week and phytoplankton twice a week. I have a skimmer and it has lots of bubbles but is not skimming anything. I was actually reading on that this morning and people were saying that is normal with corals being in the tank. I use to get some skim on a regular basis but none anymore. I have the air wide open too.Insufficient lighting can cause browning in corals. Nutrient problems can do the same. Here’s a recent thread asking about this
Corals turning brown
Hello everybody! I've got a 20 gallon reef started in march 2020 with many different types of corals. I've been away for 3 weeks and when I came back I've seen some corals that have turned brown and others not doing too good. In this period of type I dind't dose any trace elements, could this...www.reef2reef.com
Thanks for taking the time to take a look! It's appreciated.I love the fts to start.
You say this is a 75g? What are the dimentions? I'm a bit worried about the appearance of a sag in the rear cross support on the tank.
Did you calculate the sag over span? It's not too late to double them up.
That long tentacle anemone is beautiful. I think I need me one of those.
Can't speak to the algea reactor, but to the fuge, what will be your purpose? Growing macros/pods?
