I want a copperband so bad. I had one in my display that did great and I had to move my fish into hypo for a damm ich outbreak with my tangs. Poor little guy got sucked onto the intake of a powerhead. Felt real bad about that one. I just got another small guy through qt and put it in my display yesterday and stinking tangs harassed it so bad it looks like it not going to make it. Lesson learned, put a new fish into an acclimation setup within the tank.

Tangs last Jeff. They are real brats to new fish. Hope you can get it a safer place.

Pcon, could you please identify your fish? 2 of the 3 are strangers to me. Thanks.

Thank you.The Roa Modesto really had me scratching my head. Little bit like copperband or Rainfordi but obvious differences. Sweet looking fish. How are the 3 to keep?

Burgess is easy and hardy, readily takes to prepared foods including flakes and pellets. Modesta requires cooler temps than most reefs are kept at but mine took to prepared foods well. The aculeatus was the most difficult to condition took quite a while to get it eating well, was quite a shy eater to start.

Just a plain ole Copper-band! Still a fish not many can keep for any length of time yet it remains one of the most sought after and tried.

I have mine since 2017. He hunt fauna in the tank and whatever I feed the tank. I feed oyster or mussels or clam on the 1/2 shell almost once a day
Frozen mysis, flakes and pellets. He eat everything.
I rotate one frozen food a day and the rest daily Nori, pellets and flakes.

I had a LOT of butterflies for many years, but working too much and little time to pay attention to the tank really left the tank in shambles. Quarantining at home has definitely given me the chance to slowly bring the tank back to life, though I decided to keep things more simple and affordable with species selection this time around.
