Heyy!

I started noticing these neon green like algae forming on parts of my rock work and wanted advice on what to do. Shall I leave it as it is or scrub it off?

I get mixed reviews on this… it’s in multiple spots of the rock work. The 25 gal tank has been running for 9 months no coral, 3 small fish

I’ve attached images. The water parameters seem stable now although it did have high phosphate levels .68ppm befor the water change.

How has the rock and sand stayed so white? Do you not have a light? Even the rock in my sump that gets nothing but ambient room light is tan in color my tank is 10 months old. How do you manage this? Phosphates are high at .68. What was it after the water change? What are the nitrates?

Rocks aren't supposed to stay white like that, they will change color as they become populated with bacteria and algae and micro organisms.

How did you keep the rocks so white like that for so long? It honestly looks 9 days old rather than 9 months old.

I’m also curious as to why your rocks and sand are so white after such a long period of time.
What are you using to test water parameters?
How did you cycle your tank?
What lights are you using? Mostly blues or whites?
