So I’ve had this tank for probably like 6-7months now and I haven’t seen any corraline grow. My ca usually sits around 400 390 so lower side though I see tanks grow like it’s caulerpa. I may have a small green encrusting algae growth but idk if it’s the same but regardless I want emphasis on want need. that dang purple stuff. Ammonia:0
Nitrite:0
Nitrate:5-10
Ca:400
Mag:1375
Ph:8
No dkh or po4 testers yet:(
But will calcium boost make it bump? Iva already seeded my tank with frags and rock from lfs

When someone asks" What Alkalinity is your water at?", what are you going to tell them, if you've not tested for it?, lol

Aside from stability, coralline growth depends on coralline surface area in said system.
A few frag plugs and a piece of live rock will take much longer than a system started with all live rock.
My current system started with all live is now 7 months old.

It's a blessing and a curse. Just check your alkalinity and get calcium and magnesium up and you'll be fine. 2.5 years in on my 30 mixed reef and still very little coraline algae growth. Corals have tripled in size, and I'm not constantly scraping coraline.
