Hi. Hope someone can help.

I am needing to plump in a UV to my return.

I think my LFS didn’t do me any favors with how they built my tank.

I need to plumb my return line through my UV. It’s the only choice I have with the space I have.

I can’t figure out why I can’t find the parts I need.

I think I figured out why.
My return line is plumbed at 9/16 into the bulkhead and then is expanded with a couple and return valve at 3/4 inches into my pump.

Can someone tell me what I can buy to connect a 3/4 return line to this bulkhead fitting.
The return barbed jammed into the bulkhead fits a 9/16 line.

If I could find something that screws into the bulkhead at a 90 degree angle with a 3/4 barb. That would be awesome.

I am open to ideas.

This is a 43g cube with a nano sump from banshee.

Please let me know if I need to provide more information.

I am putting my UV in the outside of my stand with a hole drilled for the return line
I can connect the UV with 3/4 line. I just can figure out how to get 3/4 line from my bulkhead.

If i understand correctly
you need to unscrew that barb fitting out and replace it with https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/schedule-80-90-elbow-barb-x-male-thread.html

Looks like from the pic the bulkhead should be 3/4 threaded
It has to be 3/4.
If I am tracking. I should just unscrew the entire back of the bulkhead and replace it with a 90 degree.

I was thinking I should get something to screw over the threads on the bulkhead that is already installed.

Thanks. Helps to look at the problem from a different POV.

Yeah nothing wrong with the bulkhead leave it just back out the fittings screwed in and replace it with the sizing you need the threads on the outside of the bulkhead is for the nut of the bulkhead use the inside threads

Your tank looks like a rimless? Is there a reason why you cant just tee off your return and feed one end into the uv and then over to the display via pvc/pvc + flexible tubing/just flexible tubing into a return jet?
While you lose some effeciency (likely negligible) you can also let it just feed back into the sump as well from the uv

Easiest is to use a Tee and attach a union for easy disconnect
