Hi this thin lookin bit of coral has been there for a wk... it never moves or retreats just stays swingin all day and night.. any ideas please

Looks fine. Sometimes corals just have strange bits like this. Nothing to worry about. The polyps are extended and the rest looks healthy.

Many soft corals will "shed" small branches as a way of spreading out. My guess is that is what's happening. The downside is that if you are not careful, it can easily overpopulate the tank
