I add 3 Jars every 6 weeks and I just turn off my pumps and returns and dump them in at night. I wait 10 min's and then turn everything back on.

I just added 5280 pods from algeebarn, removed filter sock and turned off the Skimmer. Added to the tank after dark and ran it that way overnight; put back the filter sock and turned on the Skimmer in the morning. Pods all over the glass a week later.

What size is your tank?
225 gal tank. I was adding 2 Jars to my 120 gal tank before upgrading to my current tank though. I may change to 4 jars if I add another Leopard wrasse. I like the Ecopods better than the 5280 pods. I feel they are a better mix and will feed everything in the tank. I was adding 2 jars of 5280 pods before in my 120. Now I add 3 jars of Ecopods to my new tank and I feel they are better.

I have a 6 week subscription to @AlgaeBarn because it makes it easy. I don't have to worry about ordering. I just need to make sure the money is in the bank...LOL!!!
