I found a weird worm with spike feet and umbrella mouth.

Yes! So glad to finally know what he is lol. And to be able to release him. I felt bad keeping him locked up. Although apparently people fish with these guys so perhaps he is still lucky. XD
They are supposed to be pretty decent detritus eaters - did you fuge it or DT it?

Do you mind if I use your snaps from your video for my own records in case I come across him again

I don't really have a good fuge going so I let him back in the DT. I need more sand movers in there anyway so double purpose for him. ^^

Feel free to use the video @Wiz. Appreciate your help! :)

I know right? Still haven't found a single piece of him. Absolutely no clue where he went at this point. No funky smells in the house either so I'm pretty sure he didn't jump out. For now I'm assuming it was alien abduction! XD

Did you check behind the tank. Fish dry up rather quickly. You may not have smelled it

I completely removed everything under, beneath, and around the tank looking for the body. Found not so much as a scale.

If you had a 4" Tang go "missing" I would be putting a camera to record all angles of your tank looking for a Bobbit Worm.

I have been hunting for a cheap camera I can grab to do exactly that. I had a bobbit worm once before and I hate the little buggers. Can't seem to find a decent one but I am still looking.
