Look like a green algae. Watch out your nutrients. Test no3 po4 and see if you need to reduce it.
Are you using carbon? Gfo? What's your system details.

no3 is at 5ppm and po4 is 2ppm . I did 15 percent water change . 10 Gallon tank. I run carbon and small dose of sachem seagel. what inverts best for this algae or would it go away once p04 drops.

Urchins and snails are very good.
I would recommend using gfo slowly and monitor your po4.
How old is your system?
What's your systems details?

Question, does it come off easily, does it blow right off or come off with a tooth brush? It could be the start of coraline if it doesn't come off very easily, that's how it started on my rocks.

I use an old, used tooth brush in my tank. I did clean it with bleach and rinsed it and let it completely dry. My rock had tons of green looking stuff that would not come off very easily. It turned out to be the start of coraline.

Having cleaner crew is good regardless.
Snails eat some algae and do not eat others.
Like the earlier post said, it can be early stage of caroline.
Without knowing your system details it's hard to pin down what this is.
Since your post is generic I can give you a generic answer which is: reduce po4 since it fuel algae.
Have good husbandry like gfo and carbon to control nutrients
CuC and urchins are my go to cleaners...

Looks like you just joined last Monday. Welcome aboard!

Turbo snails are good for algae, So are trochus and astrea snails. With just a 10 gallon tank you do want too many, just 3 to 4 sounds right to me. Once the nutrients are under control they have to have something to eat. Also, turbos will get very big so 1 or 2 of those are enough.

Much better
Ok, your system is still new. Your parameters look ok but nutrients bit high.
If am you I would not worry shout the algae now.
Get cuc, diligent weekly WC, weekly husbandry like cleaning sand bed if you can and be careful with feeding.
Test parameters weekly until you see po4 and no3 go down. Do not shot for zero po4 that's not good.
The green algae will go away eventually for sure. Just need your system to mature more.
I am against chmeichal treatments of algae especially at such early stage in your system. Am also against scrubbing it unless its invasive, yours don't look like that so it's a phase that will pass

Yes it would grow like mats of hair. To me it looks exactly like what my rock looked like before it started turning purple.
