I was just about to order a IM 170 EXT reef system, and saw that the price went up $300 from 2 days ago. I was bummed at first until I looked at the photo closer and saw that leveling feet are now included in the package. I gave them a call and this is confirmed, but don’t know if it’s limited to made to order, or if all stands will include them.
I’m thrilled. I hated not being able to clean up water that can seep in under the stand. I also like the look better. Just thought I’d share.

Look at that closer and looking at mine, it appears they added another level. So at the same height, the doors must be smaller. My doors are 30” high and 33.5” of interior height space. Not sure how that still keeps the 33.75” interior height. Might be the old specs attached to the new pictures still? But that clearly looks like almost 4” of space with those leveling feet. Whosoever first to obtain the new design please measure it for us.

Yeah, looks to be a separate additional piece. I wonder if it just gets added to all the stands adding an additional ~4” to the overall height?

I just spoke with Innovative Marine. They verified that the cabinet is the identical size that it has been. The leveling feet are just added to the bottom. I did not confirm if it is a separate piece, but since you need to build it, I’m assuming it’s probable that is the case. But, they did confirm that No space is lost on the inside of the stand.

so then this adds almost 4" to the height of the stand. Personally I'm OK with that. Sure us vertically challenged people need a step stool to get inside the tank but the higher viewing height would be OK with me. would be nice to offer this as a separate piece incase my tank ever crashes, I'd add it. Now they need to work on a fleece roller to fit these sumps without mods.

I’m good with it too. I’m also vertically challenged and need the step stool now with my IM 75, so no different for me. I wouldn’t use a fleece roller…I can’t keep nitrate and phosphate high enough as it is, but the option of being able to take out those filter socks to enable others to add one would be nice.

I actually like that that the tank will be higher my lfs has a tank on a 40in stand and it looks good its just crazy how high the price went up. I took screenshots from black friday sale last year and this is now.

Yeah it’s a separate piece I got my 200 peninsula a few months back and it came with it. I’m using it and liking it so far.
Your set up is gorgeous!
Is there enough room between the stand and the floor that you can wipe the floor and dust underneath the cabinet?

Thank you I love it! Yeah there is room I don’t think I could fit my arm but you definitely can easily get something under there to clean if and when you need to. Two of my favorite views

Beautiful! Is the bright green torch a Todd’s? I got one a few weeks back and the tentacles are so incredibly long. It’s my favorite in my tank.
I am upgrading to the EXT 170 and am really looking forward to the extra height and having those feet.

It definitely has the longest in the tank. It’s just a no name indo torch I have a 24k, dragon tammer, dragon soul and some plain purples that look like baby’s compared to it. I like the stand I just keep the step ladder close in the coat closet lol.

How has this new part of the stand worked for people? I’m setting up the IMEXT 75 and it’s over 41” tall for the stand. I am so short this is pretty difficult and cleaning will probably be really difficult - a step stool would probably mean I’d be 3 steps up.

I would rather have the tank higher so I don't have to bend looking in and use a step stool for the cleaning. I think eye height at middle of tank would be ideal. From what I have read, the extra part of the stand doesn't have to be there when you set it up.
