Is there any studies of pros/cons to running 2 different spectrums in a schedule?

I have a 12 hr schedule. 6 is spent with full spectrum with heavy whites. Then the second half is spent with a more blue spectrum for visual pleasure. Is there any studies that show its better to run just 1 spectrum? I feel like when my blues turns on, my coral polyps get confused or something because they start to close haha even though PAR is still same. Should I just run my blue spectrum all day to keep things stable and the same? Im worried the white then the blue might stress the corals out or prohibit their growth? What do you guys think?
