I almost made a RedSea reference earlier, but passed. Yes, I suspect they use questionable silicone, among other issues.

It's not enough! Use rubber cement!

Hi - the only products that I would entertain are

Momentive RTV108
350 PSI Tensile
500% Elongation

ASI Aquarium Sealant
400 PSI Tensile
575% Elongation

or
GE SCS1200
350 PSI Tensile
500% Elongation

GE I and II -- Selsil, etc. are going to be in the 200 PSI neighborhood with elongation less than 400% (as low as 300)

100% silicone is a like saying 100% polyurethane. There chemical reaction and components that react to form the product vary, so the end result varies.
Would ge 1 hold the pressure of 150 gallons? I’m getting mixed answers

Possibly is kinda of what i am gathering from the other replies. That being said, do i want 150 gallons of water staying possibly contained in the tank, or do i want to onow that it could hold 400. Id lean towards 400 myself. I had planned on rebuilding a 180 gallon, had looked into the ge 1, and decided to go with the 108 and just save a bit more money.

it is not the proper product. I think the answers are fairly clear. I listed three products that are suitable and mentioned that the GE product and others are not as strong or flexible and less suited.

Would any of these 3 work? I’m looking for someone to come quick or that I can pick up. ASI won’t come for a week

Quick and building a diy 150 gallon tank seems like the recipe for errors. Do you have your glass sourced and ready to build yet?

I have no idea without seeing the specs. Anybody can have anything packaged and labeled any way they wish. I just know what products are time tested and trusted and would stick with those. Not all silicone is the same. What is in those tubes could be anything form Dow99A or ASI, or some import garbage. You may be able to figure it out form the spec sheet, or maybe not. Therefore, I just stick with what is proven.
