Glad to know your achilles pulled through.
I have been dealing with ich and hopefully will be dealt with after a fallow period. I believe Achilles Tangs are a little more hardy than given credit but still be avoided by people who aren't aware of some of their in my opinion important requirements and willing to tailor their system to comfort their needs.

I did a lot of work to make sure he was happy and healthy, luckily is wasn't till 2 months later he got ich. And has been able to almost rid it. He still gets a spot here and there but not enough for me to do anything.

Reef rocks here are some things I've done to make it easier for me. I'll take more tonight.

My controller is set up on the side for occasional access and easy to get to. Yet out of the way.

Reef Rock
Good choice on the DD, here are some side shots to show depth and rock scape.

Excuse the crapy iphone pics.

Oh man I just bought a 250g DD tank myself. Your setup is amazing. I hope you don't mind me using some of your ideas. Just awesome.

Yes it is, we are 2 months from finishing construction for our new house. I also own a couple businesses and unfortunately I've neglected the tank more than I wanted too. Ill have to take it down soon for the move or sell it to get a bigger tank for my next major fish project.

Great looking tank! Getting ready to setup a 150G 3' version! Was looking for alterations to the stand to make them taller and found this thread.

Thanks.
Sorry for the slow replies. We sold our previous house and built a custom one with a built in fish room. Unfortunately we went over budget by $200k, but hopefully soon I’ll start sinking more money back into the hobby.
