After many years of living in Thailand, Ill soon have to change my name to reflect my new location. Early next year Ill be headed to Guam. Collection of fish for personal aquariums is actually legal there, although collection of corals is, of course, illegal. Never been there before, but I'm gonna roll the dice! Wish me luck!

I thought you had a nice reef with a sweet specimen collection where you are. I can’t imagine being able to bring that along to Guam.
Bitter sweet changes.

Are you going to bring the hardware along?

Good luck and good fortune on your journey.

I have thought about visiting Guam but it is not a realistic destination for me. GL!

I had 4 tanks in my apartment at one point...It was certainly sweet imo! Its bittersweet but change is an inevitable part of life...There's more for me in Guam at this point in my life, such as the job I found. Ive already been hired and will start as soon as I get there. It primarily entails diving, which will feed my passion (without draining my bank account haha).

As my flight approaches, I just want to take the time to tell everyone how amazing Philippine Airlines is...I just got a free upgrade to eat a fruit platter on both legs of my flight! What meal could be a more delightful and delicious introduction to an island in the Pacific?
I highly recommended them to anyone traveling in the region!

happy for you!
idk but maybe wait to get excited until you taste the airplane fruit? hope you experience is better than mine!:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
Yeah, there's just so good any "airplane food" can be...I think a fruit platter will probably be better than typical "airplane food" though...at least in economy class. I'll bring snacks as well, just in case but it's only two 4 hour flights with a 4 hour layover in Manila so I won't be starving even if it doesn't turn out to be the best.

I am looking forward to spending free time trying to net aquarium fish for a new tank though, despite it being a practically impossible task with the small hand net you're permitted to use.

And although it'll add to the shipping cost slightly, I'm definitely bringing my Noopsyche K7 Mini Light (which has been an incredible light for nano tanks), ATO, and test kits with me. I'm sure it'll save money in the long run since buying new equipment and having it shipped there from Amazon would be more expensive.
