I still have not observed this light show except in pictures posted by others. A local station made a report of a recent solar storm but I forgot to go out and look. Some folks near by saw the lights but I was lights out.

My wife has been trying to see them for years! Every time they report one coming it's cloudy or unable to be seen without a high powered lense. This time we were able to see it perfectly from our back yard with the naked eye, it was amazing! After these pictures we took a 5 minute ride up to the top of the mountain where there were probably 100 cars parked trying to see them and it was already over by then.

That is the story. When I was a wee lad me father came home excited and asked if we had seen the N. Lights. That was when I learned that they were a thing. My Hole (sic) life has continued on with the same blindness.

I suppose that one day I will be able to see them wherever they shine but this far the fog or my distance from the pole has prevented me from observing them in nature.

I have seen some amazing sky’s but as far as the lights go I have always been suffering under obstructive sky’s

Same thing happens trying to get to the voting booth. Am I cursed?
