If you are feeding so much you are getting leftovers just feed less, adding more fish might cause you too feed even more compounding your problem. Most fish won't touch food once it hits the bottom anyway.

Its a minute amount of excess by the time things are all said and done its just something I obsess about. If you are feeding so much you are getting leftovers just feed less, adding more fish might cause you too feed even more compounding your problem. No worrys man just feed a tad less or increase your feed mode time a bit and allow all your crabs and snails to have at them. Its a minute amount of excess by the time things are all said and done its just something I obsess about.
I currently have a yellow tang, a pair of black mocha clowns, a falco hawkfish, and 3 chromis. I feed slow sinking pellets, mysis, and clipped nori. I just bought the chromis and am getting what I was after. The clowns and tang don’t eat a consistent amount day to day so some days they lose interest quickly. The chromis should do the trick I believe. What fish do you have now, and how much do you feed at a time? What do you feed? Food going over the weir sounds like too much per feeding. Tangs and angels will typically eat food off the substrate. I feed enough per feeding to last 20-30 seconds.
Thanks I will look into potentially getting a few
My crew is running pretty well as is I just hate seeing uneaten fish food go through my overflow. Thanks for the advice.

what are the fishies with the purple nose? Not sure if its typical for the speices but my Exquisite fairy wrasse is like a bolt of lightning during feeding, snagging food right infront of my other fishes mouths. Wont go for the really small pieces of food though.
