There are so many snails. This is just off this one small rock.

I bought these two chalices at the same time. Put in similar locations with similar light and flow. One is more red with green in shade spots, and the smaller one is orange with green streaks, very very cool in person but the pics aren't as nice.




And then we have this funny Kenya tree. It used to have a thick stalk attached to the rock but over time it's whittled down to this funny thing. Even has a snail shell grown into it.

Also banishing the problem rocks to the sump until I can get at them. I have blue clove polyps and a weird black sponge. Are sponges photosynthetic? Where growing in light, it's black in color, but the same thing is white on the underside where there's no light. Last transfer I cleaned it off but it's been back and now looks like a good time to do it again.

So tired. Got all rocks and savable inverts. Only sand and water left.


Doesn't look like much in here. Several large base rocks are the ones that I need to clear of pests, so until I do that I won't be trying to stack anything.

I put all snails and hermits here so when I start rearranging I don't squish anyone.


Main refugium section I put Rocks I need to clean. Also put the second yellow watchman goby here and the six line wrasse.

Also caught this menace in the last rock. Hopefully the only one. Saw it on the underside of the last rock and let it sit in a small amount of water with a chunk of frozen for bait. Took about 20 minutes. Huge.

Absolutely love the height of the new tank. Standing to view without awkwardly bending is the best. EVER.

Plan today is to empty the 75 and get it ready to move. Then to start clearing the base rocks in the sump and getting them positioned in the display. I can say that now. Sump. Display. Cool.

So far so good. Haven't lost any fish or corals to the transfer. Only a couple corals look angry, mainly a couple acans that were shaded and are now getting more light. So far adding about a gallon of rodi daily from evap, which I know would be higher than before, since now I have way more surface area and no glass lids to combat that. I also lowered the light intensity since there are no glass lids to push light through anymore.

Need to finish the cleaning of the old tank and remove all the apex stuff. Thinking I'll buy new temp and ph probes since they are old enough to justify replacing and are really overgrown with vermetid and spiriod worms.

Also found a used noop light with the bronze power supply even, trying to get that bought today from someone on here who seems to actually make posts other than things for sale.

Got the rocks situated as best as I could, did grab a couple base ones to try to stretch it what I had. Adding sand now.

Most unattached things are stuffed in this left corner, I'll have to shuffle those to get sand over here.

Ok got my last bag of sand in and I think I'm done rearranging. Basically glue a few frags and I'm done done up top. Next is controller board and getting the apex back online and working.
