I did see it on local news. Guess they found two bodies now. No idea yet what caused it.
Atkinson's fuel was there refueling, him and the owner were the ones life flighted out, 2 that died were customers. Hubs knows the prosecutors secretary so we're getting direct info. No official cause yet. We hunt in headquarters and would buy property up there in a quick second, it's amazing up there.

I used to avoid getting fuel anytime a tanker is refueling, because of sloshing of contaminates, but now something extra to consider.

I used to work in the area doing slashing, tree planting, thinning, and hand built fire line as well as burn contracts for my friends company.

What a horrible thing to have happen during a refill.

Been painting this paint by number. Looking so good so far, can't wait to hang this by a tank. Although I don't think I'll have enough room above the new tank since I'm building the stand so tall and adding a light canopy.

The painting called for a cream white background but I think I'm going to change to charcoal grey/blackish.

Some of these little areas are so small, using extreme concentration here.

Amazon find! Paint is good but the brushes are not, invest in better ones that can do the fine lines. Brushes I bought extra are ok, but I'd buy better ones if I saw them. I do mix a dab a paint with a tiny drop of water to get a smoother consistency for the edges and lines. Will absolutely be doing more of these. Love them.

New leaves all over the babies! Had to share here since the husband thinks me cooing over baby leaves is weird.

I also discovered how much easier it is to feed my plant since I have mealworms in my fridge now. Yum. I gave the smallest ones I could find to 2 largest traps, one on each main plant. I used to catch bugs/flies and feed those. I've had this one for a few years now.

Hey! How'd you get back here? Somehow my mandarin is in the aio chamber now. So official aio tally is 1 yellow watchmen goby, 1 mel wrasse and now 1 Mandarin. I did put both the mel and the ywg in there on purpose, both were being beat up in the main display and both have healed and are doing great. When I do my tank transfer I'll be shuffling fish around.

Have no idea how this dude made it here though

Oh they'll see some ash...

Girl Fire GIF by MOODMAN

This is literally the only spot they ever come in. Right at this window. I never caulked it because I loved the wood my husband used and wanted to stain it. I have some paste/gel stuff that I got from a pesticide sprayer if things get outta hand but I try natural/safer methods first.

Also just looked at the plumbing kit breakdown that comes with the tank and now I'm more confused. I think there's 2 of these so 2 returns? What do I do with that? 2 pumps? One oversized and split? Oh boy. And middle and bottom inlets? Does that affect the ability to surface skim?

I'm getting scared now. Brain hurts. Send coffee

I'm going to take a break and paint for a while. Smoke is literally coming from my ears all looney tunes style.
I had an overflow like this on my 90 and really liked it. The extra inlets don't interfere with surface skimming; in my case they were beneficial and added a little flow to the area - I piled rocks in front to hide it a little. Mine did not have a removable piece - the inside wall was a little lower than the wier teeth and helped prevent any splashing noise if I set the water level lower. The space between the walls grew all kinds of sponges and stuff but you can't really get to them... The one change I wish they would make is making the box large enough to run 2 drains and a return. My 90 only had 1 box and I used both holes as drains and ran the return up over the back (but still set it in the notch so the loc line came out the same place).

Inching closer to tank things. Last few days have been spent clearing the wall. The TV was there previously, so all the wires needed moved, the second TV with the security system and all those wires, all the holes from all the mounting. I still need to buy a can of spray texture to finish up the arch (it was previously closed off and I could see the outline through their repair so we busted it out and I just never finished the edges).

Then plan is to prime and repaint. Gonna go with a navy blue. We have all grey walls in every room, and I thought blue would be the only color that won't clash with blue lights. Just gonna do it and not overthink it. Already have the paint ready. Maybe painting today if I can distract the 5yo for a couple hours this afternoon....

Did the wires yesterday. This track is hiding the Ethernet and one single cam that goes to the back yard. It's paintable so it'll not be white soon enough.

Awesome you say this because in all the research I thought 2 drains each were preferable. I should look into this then huh?

Does all the stuff growing in between there slow flow? I do have vermetid snails and also annoying collonista snails. Should I make something to scrape in there for cleaning?

Personally I liked having the extra stuff grow there, but for all I know it blocked the flow from the middle and lower slots and turned the box into a regular overflow, lol.
I wouldn't worry about it at all.
