Why a Condy? This is not an anemone that clowns host.

The maroon hosts in bubble tips and I’d go with that if you want them to host a nem .

A 15g is small. These clowns get huge. I keep mine in a 40g and it’s kinda small for him and he’s not fully grown.

I have a pair of Stripeless Tomato's and they are the smaller of the maroons in a 40b and they don't allow any other fish in their tank. They do like bubble nems a lot.

Ocellaris are about all that is going to fit in a 15g.
Pretty much. I had a Maroon in a 75 and later a 90. I see that the recommended is 30g for a single and 55g for a pair (simple internet search). And I flat out don't agree with it. Needs to be bigger. A pair of O. Clowns on their own in a 15 should work, but that's even cramped. They like their space. I kept a pair in a 10g back in the day before I knew any better and wouldn't go smaller than a 20g long now.

Well, Condys just appeal to me more than any other anemone. But off topic, your Maroon is great!
That’s fine if it appeals to you. But just know the clown won’t live in it.

I’ve also found condys hard to keep. But I haven’t tried to keep one in a decade so maybe I wasn’t as stable and set up as well back then.

Sorry, thread interruption, but would you put a single O. in a 13.5? I've seen so many posts on here with a pair in that tank and was planning on two in my (hopefully) future aquarium, but this thread is making me reconsider. Don't they mostly pick one area of the tank to host and hang around there?

They do pick a place but still like to explore when they don't have eggs to protect. When they have eggs the male stays with the eggs and the female will do her thing and move about. I have three pairs in different tanks. If you add a nem when the tank will support it the male will stay closer to the nem to protect it.

If lone female won't spawn. But if you give her a nem she will still stay closer to the nem to protect it. They get much more territorial when they get a nem or start to spawn. Also it can take a few years before they start to spawn.

Some do. Probably most. And I'm not making any judgments :). My pair in my 10g were all over the place. I've had others that have carved out their spot and not moved around much. So I tend to just go into conservative mode and pick the choice based more on possibilities rather than probabilities.

After years and years of reading these “can I put a whale in a 10g” threads, I always assume beforehand the authors already knew or suspected the exercise is borderline, otherwise why would they ask?

Why even ask for permission or affirmation here or now?
