so i got this and it was doing great then its started to not look good now it looks like its coming back what do you think

Is that your first SPS? What lights are you running? Do you know your PAR? What is your calcium, alkalinity, ph, temp, etc? Did you dip?

Looks to be bleaching a bit. Make sure parameters remain stable and watch alk for drop or spikes. Maybe turn lights down a bit to help acclimate and also may have too clean of water. These guys are not as picky as other sps with food in water.

From what I've experienced, monti's are vulnerable to alk drops and spikes, but if you stabilize the water fast enough they will recover.

thanks for the replies sorry its taken so lomg to get back have some issues going on really do not think its water related after thinking about it have a green monti cap on the other side that looks great (that i got at the same time).i have a elegance that i have moved around the entire tank trying to find its sweet spot i think i did it likes low flow and thats were the monti caps at i think its flow related and recently i put a rock in front of it too
