I have had my KH as high as 15ppm and the fish where fine but I would buy a good test kit and do a water charge 20% then test it I also acclimated my fish in a 10 gal thank for a week
I think 15ml
Of that solution increases way more than 15ppm

How mushroom did you feed them?
I don't sometime I put phyto Feast in the tank like one's ever 2weeks

Still the water is toxics I took it to the store and they recommend to replace the carbon and wait few days so I replaced everything intneh filter and now waiting to see . We did nitrogen test to make sure it’s not under the sand that cause issues and it didn’t so I will

I would do a water charge a buy a good test kit I like Salifert or red sea I only feed my fish one a day and no more that the can eat in 3 to 5 minutes
