Update, ran out of parts and funds to finish the sump… lol so its on hold until payday. But decided to put some rocks in… idea is to have another island on the other end of the tank with dense rockwork and an open valley in the middle for the fish to swim!

About time I updated this thread!! Been one heck of a task to get it to where it is. Between equipment going out, plumbing issues and a nasty round of ich its finally up and running with crystal clear water! Just waiting on my protein skimmer to come, the one that came with the tank took a poo.

Current stock
White eye, snowflake, zebra, and jeweled moray eels
Sailfin tang
Rainbow wrasse
Porcupine puffer
Maroon clownfish pair
Marine betta

In holding tank:
Powder blue tang
Emperor angel baby
Hi fin snapper baby

Here are some pictures :) very proud of where the tank is today! Thanks for reading

Beautiful! And it was set up for about 4 years and maintained my a professional company in a business lobby but they terminated the contract. The company didnt have anywhere to move the tank so they listed it on FB. Ive had it up probably 5 or so months now? Been a ton of work between plumbing issues, equipment breaking, marine ich when my skimmer went out, and other stuff! But its up and running now and looks great! Love my fish

Newest editions! Never kept clarkiis before. Never actually seen them in person until today! Stripe (the damsel) seems very happy to have some fish in with him that are not eels lol

Love the quinque!! Good to see you have a wrasse
I lost him ☹️ thought it was a parasite since all my fish died really fast but turns out my salinity checker was super off and it had way too low salinity. Im just tankful my eel are alive still. Slowly adding stock. No issues with the salinity fixed. But I did love that wrasse, planning on a dragon, red coris, and the rainbow wrasse again. Maybe some kind of yellow one too for a pop of bright yellow!

You could try a Thalassoma lutescens but you'd have to cut the rainbow

Ah its also called a banana wrasse? Ive seen so many pictures of them, some yellow some green! Whats their actual male coloration? I feel like people get them confused with other thalassomas too. Saw a blue head at the LFS. I was thinking about that one instead of the rainbow too but its very dull in person. My rainbow wrasse was so beautiful :(

Yeah. That's why I use the scientific name. The Thalassoma group of wrasse are often called the banana wrasses and sometimes even the little peaceful Halichoeres chrysus is called a banana wrasse.
