Alk 8.2 to 8.4 cal 450ish mag 1350 nitrates is over 75 (tanked my cheato back in May with a reef flux dose ) phosphate. 07 as of last weekend

Pretty sure I did it by trying to do kalk and then the reef flux
Reef flux is the one people use for briopsis or gha? Did it work? How long after did things start declining? What did you do with kalk?

Reef flux is an algicide no ?
lots of removal media needed, GAC, purigen,??
or major water change ,like 75% at one time to get back on track ?

My idea was to use supersaturated kalk instead of brs soda ash... alk was steady then hit 14 then down to 6 all in a weeks time... reef flux was about the same time as trying kalk and why I said I think it was me. Just to much at one time

Reef Flux is Fluconazole, a fungicide, but also works very well on Bryopsis and a little on GHA and on bubble algae--but only with massive overdoses. It doesn't seem to hurt the tank much. I used Flux RX, similar product but different manufacturer once on a 15 gallon tank. Nuked the Bryopsis and hurt but didn't kill the others. Only negatives I saw were decreased PE on LPS. You need to clear it out with WCs and/or GAC after the treatment.

But... Bryopsis started to return 2 months after treatment. A second round killed it entirely. Good for Bryopsis but I don't think it it the best bet against GHA or Bubble Algae.
