Hello everyone!
I hope you all are doing well.
I am a college student currently but keep two tiny aquariums that I have recently learned are not nano but pico/femto tanks.
Here are some photos:
I might edit to add some more later.
Currently, I have 6 snails under my care:
- Peter Jr. (Nassarius Snail | renamed after the later Peter)
- Margerett (the mysterious green snail of an unknown species)
- Thomas (Astraea Snail)
I also have three Stomatella Snails in their own tank, I call these buddies Sybil or Snow Bunnies because I thought they had rabbit-ish vibes when I first saw them.
My 1 gallon doesn't have coral. But my 2.5 has a Zoa(?) which may or may not have past.
There is also a bristle worm names Bristles, but he has many other fellow worms now.
My interest in saltwater began with some SeaMonkeys/Brine shrimp. However, I accidentally removed most of the shrimp when adding sand for my Nassarius (I think I created such a dust cloud and it suffocated them but am unsure). Since then, I have only purposely kept snails.
My first run with aquariums was with my very first school, who had an aquarium.
Although, I am always tempted to one day get a bigger aquarium. Clownfish, Sea Horses, Lawnmower Blennies, Tailspot blennies, Nudibranch, Sea Hares, and Wrasses are so cute. My primary love is snails, shrimps, and all other critters. Tempted to get some Sea Urchins one day.
My time here is primary as a heavy novice. I am just worried about my snails and always trying to do best by them. Feel free to say hi if ya'll see me lurking around!
