Hello all, I would still consider myself new but informed in this hobby. I have two weird growths happening in my tank. One of which is a white/grey fuzz on my rocks and I first noticed it on the bottom of one of my hammers skeleton (not in it or by its head at all)...I asked reddit and they said it was a sponge which I doubt but accepted the statement. The second is this blackish/dark brown growth that is happening on my rockwork and I have NO idea what it is. I looked both of these up and have found no information except that the black/brown stuff could have been brown coraline which i doubt. Please help if you can and thank you so much! could these also play a role in my hammers dying off?

Start with better(more in focus) pictures, in white light. How long has it been running? Is the water cloudy?
My camera wouldn't focus unfortunately, but if there is anything you'd like to see if would be more than happy to upload another and give it a better attempt. The tank is about 7 months old and the water is crystal clear. i also just uploaded the white crap that was on one of my corals.

The black? I mean I've seen pictures of it being brown but not that dark but I wouldn't take it off the table

I am of the mind that if it's not slimy or scrape of easily it's probably a benign coralline algae.
