Hello everyone, just following the steps! Clearly by my name, this will be my first saltwater tank! I am the one that posted in the reddit the other day as you will tell by my photos of my tank (55gal) and my future sump (29gal on its way!). Thank you all in advance for any help you have been and will be as I start this tank process and for the many questions that may be answered!

Hopefully! I've already had to switch from a 29gallon sump to a 20 long because the website shows that a 29gallon is 18" long but when I decided to put it under my stand, it's actually almost 22" long so it's a tight fit.
Thank you!

I know the feeling of having a sump fit exact. I was nervous but got it to fit. I had to take my tank off the stand and remove the top of the cabinet to slide the sump downward into the cabinet. Lol.

Geez that sounds about how tight mine would've been lol. How do you access it now???? Since obviously the now filled tank would be ontop covering the sump

I have space top of sump to the underside of the top of the cabinet for maintenance.

Lol yeah exactly. I have a 55gal display so mine would've been a little over half, now it's a little under half
Sump size is not bad at all. Well if you have any questions, concerns ask away. We're all here to help and learn from eachother. Just remember... what works for me may not work for you and Patience is a very important thing. All systems are different so our opinions aren't etched in stone but... the info we share may or may not help depending on how you use the info. We hope to see some pics of your journey in the Reefing World.
