Hi all! Just got my first salt water aquarium ever! Super stoked, have been wanting to get into the hobby since I was 13 and now that I'm 26, in medical school, and have a couple bucks to my name the timing feels right.
Just started cycling my Fluval Flex 32.5g a couple days ago and already started making modifications.

I've gotten the following upgrades:
- 2 media baksets
- 2 bottom blank inlet covers
- 2 top shrimp proof inlet covers
- 1x wave maker (Jebao SOW-8) [will get another one soon]
- Tunze Comline 9001 DC skimmer
- SICCE Syncra Silent 1.5 pump
- inkbird itc-306a wifi temp controller
- fluval m150 submersible heater

Considering the following upgraedes:
- ATO sys (tunze 3152)
- clear led (acrylic or mesh)

Considering getting a quarantine tank but not sure how to set one up.

In terms of fish I'd like to stock over the coming months, I was thinking of the following :
- 2 ocellaris clowns
- 2 banggai cardinalfish
- 1 pink-streaked wrasse
- 2 blue/green chromis
- 1 blue-spotted puffer
- 1 cleaner shrimp
- 1 blood red fire shrimp
- 1 staghorn hermit crab
- 1 emerald crab
- 2 hallowen hermit crabs
- 3 turbo snails
- 3 nassarius snails
- 3 bumblee snails

I'd love to get into corals and anemones eventually but I don't really know much about them.

Let me know if you have any thoughts, tips, or recommendations! Glad to be apart of this community!

Hi and Welcome to R2R. :)

Forego the Blue Spotted Puffer, not particularly reef safe and the system is too small, otherwise the fish list looks good.
The Staghorn Hermit is a novelty, don't waste your money.
Definitely get the Tunze ATO. You're going to need more flow, so another wave maker or power head.
Lighting will have to be upgraded for corals and Anemones.

Congratulations on your new system.

Welcome to reef2reef

go slow literally with everything, as for your stocking little excessive might Wana skip the puffer for that size tank ,ide also pick one of the shrimp not both they most likely will fight

Goodluck!
Great thank you for the advice!

Would any of the other following puffers/fish work instead?
- Valentini Puffer
- Leopard Toby
- Blacksaddle filefish
