Welcome to Reef2Reef! Sounds like you have a great-sounding setup!Hello Fish Friendly peeps! My name is Q and this is why I joined this sub. I set up my first "reef tank" at 16 and have been in the hobby for going on 10 years now. I started with a 55 gallon with a hang on the back filter and t5 lights, then to a 32g biocube and finally to my 75g. I am definetly no expert and never claim to be such, however I recently helped a local fellow enthusiast out with some tank issues. After helping them with their problems and actually getting a positive it result gave me so much joy I decided I could help others on here. Im a HUGE DIY guy and have always been about making it over buying it if theres a way. Im hoping with this forum I will not only be able to learn and grow as a hobbiest but also inform and educate new members.
My setup currently: Aqueon 75 gallon, DIY HOB Overflow box, Hygger power heads, two Smatfarm G3 lights, Aqueon 20 gallon tank with custom baffles to fit two 4" filter socks, a refugium 1500gph return pump and an IOAOI Protien skimmer. Im extremly proud of my sump setup as the tank is on one side of the wall and sump is on the other. I bought a house 2 years ago and have always wanted a clean looking setup. To whoever told us kids to buy a house young must not have thought about those into the hobby, because im trying to fit the largest tank in this small house. I also run a 30g Cube as a 24/7 QT if needed. ALWAYS QUARENTINE YOUR FISH, you dont want to end up with a tank full of sick fish.
Happy Reefing!
