If the zoa were on a bit of rubble glued to the plug, it is very likely it’s in a spot behind or under the rocks.

Things can detach from dried glue. My moneys on the urchin. They can be bulldozers

Turn off the flow. Look down from above with a bright flashlight. And start removing rock and just put it on a towel for a few min and take a look around and you can probably find it.
Urchins can mow down frags of all types coral!

this happened to me yesterday, i got home and one of my zoas that i fragged was completely missing! i looked around the tank and couldn't find it. I didn't think that my fire fish or clowns would have ate it so the search was on. i looked for about 30 min in a 20g Long and couldn't find it. Then standing there looking from the top down, i saw it in the reflection of the glass and it was resting on the base of the rock just rocking in the flow. so it might be tucked away in there, just take some good time to look in even the obvious places.
