Hello, I’m new to all of this and when I purchased my tank, they gave me this bag and I figured it was some kind of media bag for the filtration system. I keep having phosphate issues of it being really high and I’m starting to think that maybe this was a phosphate reduction bag of some sort should I take it out? I don’t know what to do.

.10 and I’m curious on what is in the bag is it a phosphate remover and carbon? I have had it in since sep when I started the tank. Is this something j need to exchange regularly or leave in?

No idea, you'll need to open the bag and describe the contents.
0.10 is not a phosphate level I'd worry about.

If you can give more details about your tank - how old, what you use for water changes, any algae issues, what test kits you use, what ALL your parameters are, along with a full tank photo, then folks here will be better able to assist.

Okay so shall I leave that rowafos and phosguard in? I also just seen the nori im feeding has phosphate in it also and I feed that to them all day on top of their food. I have 1 tang a fox face 2 clowns a hawkfish and mandarin. I have corals my torch seems to be doing great my zoas that I got in the beginning the colors aren’t great but I just put some new zoas in that are looking great. I also just added a Scully that was fully expanded at the shop and not it looks like it’s very very slowly closing ( I’m thinking it’s the phosphate)

When my phosphate was at 2.5. All my lps and mushroom loving it. Not so much for my sps. Brought it down to .25 now .4 and all my bounce melted. For your situation, i would just keep that bag in there. If you have a lot of softy, zoa and mushroom just keep close eyes on them as they dont like low po4.
